John Kleinhans, Vice President & Founder

Mr. Kleinhans’ 35 years of professional experience includes more than 20 years of ISS Assurance activities. An example is applying Federal, Department of Transportation, and FAA policies and guidance in support of the FAA Air Traffic Organization (ATO) ISS initiatives. John’s efforts included applying his extensive knowledge of Federal ISS requirements such as NIST RMF, and NIST requirements and guidelines to support and mature the ATO system security authorization, assessment, and reporting processes. He has extensive knowledge and experience in ISS authorization assessment planning and authorization process improvement.

He also has extensive knowledge and experience in ISS compliance audits, policy, education/awareness, and program management. He has performed security audits, assurance, and Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) for a myriad of federal agency and department systems. The federal customers included varied civilian and Defense agencies.

Prior to founding SysNet Technologies, John was an Associate and Engineer at Booz | Allen | Hamilton, Lisan, Inc., and (honorably) was an Air Defense Control Officer in the US Marine Corps, and a Combat Engineer for the US Army. Mr. Kleinhans brings a wealth of national (uniformed) services and civilian agency support to our SysNet culture dedicated to serving the US federal government. He is the lead author of our comprehensive ISS SysCIP® methodology, and he ensures proper training and orientation of all SysNet staff and teammates for ultimate customer security.
